Confusion
Stumbling, sight swimming through a pea-green fog,
The man has lost his seeing-eye dog.
Wearing his spectacles of obsidian,
he is lost in a cold, wet, rainy storm.
An everyday, desolate, isolated man.
Of home he thinks, and of rebirth,
of better and more fulfilling days of mirth.
Taking a pocket-watch from his coat,
He realizes he is behind the times,
adrift, awash, and, yet, afloat.
The man has lost his seeing-eye dog.
Wearing his spectacles of obsidian,
he is lost in a cold, wet, rainy storm.
An everyday, desolate, isolated man.
Of home he thinks, and of rebirth,
of better and more fulfilling days of mirth.
Taking a pocket-watch from his coat,
He realizes he is behind the times,
adrift, awash, and, yet, afloat.
