Moods - 9/13/05

1.
An awkward affection infects surrounding
molecules of atmospheric matter,
and sonic ambience penetrates the silence,
invading realms of greater consciousness.

2.
A falling object from my hand
alarms sense as my skin becomes a solid
mass of fear. Within my mind I hear
hints of wailing ambulances as fingers
tautly pulled release from a yew-strung band.

3.
Abstruser walls, a thickened, weakening shell
surrounds a soul, as mine, until the halls,
streaked by bolder laughter, begin to rain
upon the barriers in dissolutive psalm
and plant the seeds of gently tiding calm.

4.
A leaden presence on my brow,
A lotus for already failing senses,
a grip of frailty, fingers dead
of dreading nether spirit worlds.
Of joy in blissful recompense,
fatigue about a clouded head.
