November Villanelle

The autumn leaves melt into earthly low,
when winter winds awake with white-flecked wild.
The snowflakes disappear among the snow.

After dancing, upon an airy spontenaity flown,
the fleeing former tree hands enflamed in mild,
these auburn leaves melt into earthly low.

The lucent cold into the dawn is sewn
and frigid skies are cloud-flaked, grayly tiled,
their snowflakes disappear among the snow.

The hum of insect song, no more to know
the ambient presence of an air defiled
by autumn leaves melted into earthly low.

But joyful feet, that mark the frozen, show
the advancing value of this winter-child
as snowflakes disappear among the snow.

For the coming season has its winding path to go
and fall has passed its time, and met its trial.
Its autumn leaves melt into earthly low
as snowflakes disappear among the snow.
